Stephanie Johnson represents clients in the District of Columbia and Maryland in criminal, appellate, post-conviction, landlord/tenant, and civil litigation matters.  She has a wide array of experience in criminal, appellate, and landlord/tenant matters.  Stephanie is barred in both the District of Columbia and Maryland.  She graduated with honors from Washington University in St. Louis in 2003 with a B.A. in Political Science and a minor in African American Studies.  Additionally, she graduated from Howard University School of Law in 2008.  During her law school tenure, she was a student attorney in the D.C. Law Students in Court Program’s Civil Clinic which specializes in landlord/tenant matters in the District.

Previously, Stephanie worked at a small law firm in Prince George’s County, Maryland as an associate attorney.   While in that position she gained several years of experience in landlord and tenant, real property, criminal defense, general litigation and appellate matters. Stephanie’s appellate and trial advocacy has proven successful before the District of Columbia Court of Appeals, the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit, the District Court of Anne Arundel County, and the Superior Court of the District of Columbia on several occasions. Her accomplishments and experience recently earned her appointments on the CJA panels for the Superior Court for the District of Columbia and the District of Columbia's Court of Appeals.
